Learning at Home - Nature Photographs

This week as part of our gardening project we asked trainees to connect with nature and take a photograph of a flower, an insect, a bee, a tree or a bird.  Thanks to the staff and trainees for sending in their beautiful photographs over the last few months. We look forward to putting together our photo time capsule when we return to the centre that captures plenty of positive memories from this unique and unprecedended time of our lives.

#NatureMoves - Understand

The #NatureMoves initiative that we are participating in this week as part of mental health ireland has a different theme each day.  Today's  theme is 'Understand' - The lessons that nature has to teach us are never ending.  Janell put together this lovely scenic graphic to demonstrate physical distancing with a photograph of two wild Irish hares.

Nature Photography - #NatureMoves

Mental Health Ireland tell us you don't have to climb mountains, venture far from home or even leave the house at all to feel the benefits of being in nature.  They are asking us to share a nature photo on social media showing how you are enjoying nature during Covid restrictions and beyond  using the hashtag #NatureMoves
It can be of your favourite spot in your garden, your daily stroll around your neighbourhood or countryside, or a sunset that swept you off your feet.  Here are some of the beautiful photographs  sent in by trainees and staff during the Covid restrictions.
For more information on mental health go to
