Sligo IT and SCFE Open Day
Lisa and Melly brought a group of trainees to the IT today for the open day. We had the opportunity to obtain information on courses, talks and see exhibitions, stands and demonstrations. We had a guided tour of Sligo College of Further Education which was very interesting as they have a lot of excellent QQI Level 5 courses to progress onto such as computers, hairdressing, make-up artistry, theatre production, food science & nutrition, art & design, furniture making etc. We also met some past trainees that are really enjoying their courses in SCFE. This was a very informative and enjoyable event!

Bee Haven
There is a Bee Haven located beside the centre at the sports complex in Cleveragh. This is a bee conservation area and helps bees to thrive in what can sometimes be a harsh environment. There are lots of beautiful plants that help the bees such as lavender, sage, buttercups, geraniums etc. This project is supported by Sligo Tidy Towns & Sligo County Council.
