Football Tournament

We enjoyed a fantastic sporting football tournament on Monday involving trainees from all the departments in the centre together with many of the trainees from Leitrim CTC who travelled for the event.

Well done to the winner team on the day Cormac, Tyreike, Oskar, Owen, John, Troy, Katelyn & Alice

Other prize winners on the day included Sean Flanagan, Brittney Sweeney, Diego Colburn and Andrew Kelly.

We would like to thank every player would look part and also a special word of thanks to Danny and Steve for organising the event.

Visitors To Our Centre

We were delighted to have staff and trainees from Leitrim CTC visit our centre today.  There was an opportunity to have a tour of the centre following some refreshments provided by our catering department.

Catering Tutor Position for Leitrim CTC

Catering Tutor

We are seeking to recruit a highly organised, experienced, enthusiastic and motivated Tutor who will be responsible for training, development and assessment of learners.   The successful candidate will plan, deliver and assess a variety of QQI Level 3 modules.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

A third level qualification in your area of expertise.

Level 6 QQI Train the Trainer qualification or equivalent.

Experience

Relevant experience of working with learners in an educational and/or training setting.

It is a condition of submission of an application for this position that you agree to vetting as per

the requirements of the National Vetting Bureau (Children and Vulnerable Persons) Acts 2012 to

2016.

Hairdressing Course - Leitrim CTC

This new course in Carrick on Shannon  introduces learners to the exciting world of hairdressing. The purpose of this course is to enable the learner to acquire the knowledge, skill and competence in hairdressing basin skills, blow drying hair, roller setting hair, colouring and essential hairdressing related theory.  Learners will also get an opportunity to participate in work experience in a salon.  For more info contact Paul enquiries@leitrimctc.com/071 9623365.

Leitrim Community Training Centre

Sligo CTC has recently opened a new Community Training Centre  in Leitrim.  It was opened on the 23rd October 2017. The centre is located a short distance from the town centre at No 2, Park Lane, Carrick on Shannon, Co Leitrim.  It is moving to a new premised in Spring 2018. Hairdressing is the first course being provided at the new centre, the purpose of the course is to enable the learner to acquire the knowledge, skill and competence in hairdressing. A catering course will commence  at the centre in early 2018 and these courses will be supported by additional modules.  Best of luck to Paul, Laura and the hairdressing trainees at Leitrim CTC!
