National Tree Week
As part of National Tree Week we got some free tree saplings from Sligo County Council for the centre garden. This will help improve the look of the garden.

Catering Tutor
We are seeking to recruit a highly organised, experienced,
enthusiastic and motivated Tutor who will be responsible for training,
development and assessment of learners. The successful candidate will plan, deliver
and assess a variety of QQI Level 3 modules.
Qualifications
and Education Requirements
A third level qualification in your area of
expertise.
Level 6 QQI Train the Trainer qualification or
equivalent.
Experience
Relevant experience of working with learners
in an educational and/or training setting.
It is
a condition of submission of an application for this position that you agree to
vetting as per
the
requirements of the National Vetting Bureau (Children and Vulnerable Persons)
Acts 2012 to
2016.

This week the lads played some basketball with Chris and the girls had a good session of Zumba with Barbara at Sligo Sports Complex.

Jobseekers Information Day
Today we had a stand manned by Janell and Mary at the Jobseekers Information Day in the Glasshouse Hotel. It was very a informative morning with stands from Intreo, JobsIreland, Sligo CFE, National Learning Network, Sligo Library, Springboard IT Sligo, Sligo Leader, Citizens Information, e-college etc. There was also some motivational Speakers talking at it!

Red Weather Alert - Centre Closed
Met Eireann have issued a red weather alert for the entire country. As a result Sligo CTC will be closed today and tomorrow Friday. It will re-open on Monday 5th March. Stay Safe.
