Christmas Lunch and Festive Quiz

Thanks to Mairead, Lisa and the catering trainees for cooking a beautiful Christmas lunch in the centre today for the staff and trainees. Thanks also to Danny and Steve for organising a fun festive quiz for each department!

Thank you from Sligo Social Services

Last week we were delighted to deliver a large amount of food items to Sligo Social Services office which were collected by staff and trainees in the previous weeks. Today we were delighted to receive a letter from their Chief Executive, Christina McTaggart acknowledging our efforts.

Sligo Social Services work in our community to provide a pre-school, afterschool’s, family support services, counselling for young people and adults, and an open access service.  They also provide a meals on wheels service and a befriending service for the elderly in the Sligo area and a number of homeless services including homeless hostels for single adults, and short-term family accommodation.  

A special thank you to all the trainees and staff who donated to the cause. Also to the key workers in each of our departments who organised the collection in their areas and to Ronan and Steve who transported the large amount of goods to drop off point.

Well done to all!

Sligo Social Services Christmas Food Appeal

Over the past few weeks our trainees and staff had been donating items for our Christmas Food Appeal. Yesterday we were delighted to donate our collection to Sligo Social Services who do fantastic work in our community.  Thanks to everyone for contributing!

It's beginning to look like Christmas at Sligo CTC!

 

Catering - Christmas Cake

The catering department are busy getting ready for Christmas!  Michaela, catering trainee made a delicious Christmas cake and finished it off beautifully with icing and decorated with figurines.  Looks fab 😋
