You create pinboards dedicated to a theme and pin (save) images you like to the boards.
It’s great for all kinds of design projects such as interiors, fashion, party planning and finding recipes.

An effective and easy to use photo-editing app.

A valuable communications platform for video meetings and conference calls - you can virtually meet with others - either by video or audio-only or both.  It’s main features are one-one meetings, group video conferencing and screen sharing.

A free at home fitness app offering fitness video and workout plans.

6. Tasty
A recipe app with swipe-by-swipe video instructions, which lets you, export ingredients lists and save your favourites.

Tech Week - Scratch


As part of Tech Week I am taking a look at Scratch. With Scratch, you can program your own interactive stories, games and animations. Scratch helps young people learn to think creatively and reason systematically. This is a great fun easy to use tool for anyone interested in gaming and coding. TECH WEEK 2016

TECH Week takes place from 24th - 30th April.

Our TECH Week Activities in the computer room included:
Installing and using GIMP image editing software 
Connecting Multimedia speakers to PC and playing music via PC
Setting up and using a tablet and Ipod
Using headset/Microphone 
Using a dual camera - video/photos 
Taking photos on a digital camera
Editing images and creating collages using Picasa 
Uploading images and posts to the CTC blog

Some interesting Facts about IT

The average computer user blinks 7 times a minute, which is less than half the normal rate of 20 blinks a minute. 

86% of people try to plug their USB devices in upside down.

9 in 10 of all 15-16 year old in Ireland have a profile on a social networking site.
