The Importance of Digital Skills

Last weekend the Sunday Business Post published an interesting article on the importance of digital skills in the workplace. Our computer course focuses exactly on this area by covering QQI level 3 and 4 modules along with a full ECDL award.

Fundraising for Sligo Samaritans

As part of our celebrations to mark World Mental Health Day last October we raised €206.38 for Samaritans. Last week Dan Scannell gratefully accepted the cheque on behalf of Sligo Samaritans. Thanks to all those who contributed on the day.

Sports & Recreation Course - Injury Prevention

Trainees on our Sports and Recreation course know the importance of injury prevention.

Injury prevention involves various movements, and both static and dynamic stretches to increase flexibility and strengthen muscles to help improve the bodies ability to perform and reduce the risk of injury. Being aware of this and partaking in a predefined programme is a vital part of the sports course as trainees are active on a daily basis.

Single-use plastics banned in Irish government offices

Since last week our government have banned the purchase of single-use plastic cups, cutlery and straws in government offices.

In our centre we have stopped using single-use plastic cups for almost a year now and have not looked back since!
